Personal data

We understand personal data as all data with which persons can be identified. We process personal data because you use our services and/or since you have provided us this data yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:

  • Company name
  • First and surname
  • Address details
  • Telephone number
  • Email address
  • Other personal data you actively provide through correspondence and telephone contact, for instance.

Special and/or sensitive personal data

We exclusively process personal data of minors (persons under the age of 16) if written permission for this has been provided for the parent, carer or legal representative. If you believe we have gathered data concerning a minor without that permission, please contact us and we will delete this information.

Processing personal data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Sending out our newsletter.
  • To call or email you if this is necessary for us to perform our service.
  • To inform you about changes to our services and products.
  • To deliver goods and services to you.
  • We also process personal data if we are obliged to do so by law, such as data we require for our tax return.

Automated decision-making

We do not make any decisions based on automated processing regarding matters that might have consequences – major or otherwise – for persons. This concerns decisions made by computer programs or systems, without involving intervention from a human (such as a Nebim employee).

How long we store personal data

We do not store personal data for any longer than strictly necessary for achieving the aims for which your data is gathered.

Sharing personal with third parties

Nebim does not sell your data to third parties, and will only gather this is required for performing our agreement with you or to meet a statutory obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies commissioned to process your data, to ensure a uniform level of security and confidentiality of your data. We remain responsible for this processing. We do not provide any personal data to parties based outside the EU.

Your visit to our website

Our primary aim when recording information is making visiting our website easier. Only data we deem essential for achieving this aim is recorded. You are not obliged to share that information.

Storing information

When you visit this website, we may store certain information concerning your visit. This includes:

  • The IP address – cannot be traced back to you personally
  • The Internet Service Provider (ISP)
  • The duration of the visit
  • The pages visited
  • The landing page/exit page
  • The number of times the website is visited
  • The device used
  • Information about the operating system
  • Information about the internet browser

This information is used for statistical purposes, such as Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Remarketing Google Adwords, Hotjar (tool for website usage) and leads.vzw (tool for establishing website usage and site behaviour). You will be asked to leave information such as name and contact details on certain pages. For instance, when subscribing for a newsletter, downloading a white paper or other documentation. In these cases, we explicitly ask for your permission for using your details for marketing purposes. You will receive confirmation of this by email. When you are approached, you can unsubscribe in each case.

Google Analytics

A cookie from US company Google is placed through our website as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to keep up with how visitors use the website, and receive reports on this. Google is able to provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence over this. The information Google gathers is anonymised as much as possible. Your IP address is explicitly not disclosed and so cannot be traced back to you personally. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Google states that it abides by the Privacy Shield principles, and is affiliated with the Privacy Shield programme of the US Department of Trade. This entails that a suitable level of protection applies for processing any personal information.

Social media

Our website includes buttons for promoting (“like”) or sharing (“tweet”) on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. These buttons work by means of pieces of code originating from social media themselves. Cookies are placed using this code. We have no influence over this. Read the social media's privacy statement to learn what they do with your personal data, which they process using these cookies. The information they gather is anonymised as much as possible. The information is transferred to and stored by Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn on servers in the United States. LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google+ state that they abide by the Privacy Shield principles, and is affiliated with the Privacy Shield programme of the US Department of Trade. There are two exceptions to this rule: If you have given us specific permission for this; There are legal reasons to do so.

Protecting personal data

We take protecting your data seriously, and also take suitable measures to combat misuse, loss, unauthorised access, undesired disclosure and unauthorised alteration. If you suspect your data is nevertheless not protected or there are indications of misuse, please get in touch with us.

Rights concerning your data

You have the right to view, rectify or delete personal data we have received from you. You are also able to object to us or one of our employees processing your personal data (partly or otherwise). You are also entitled to have the personal data you provide transferred to either you yourself or directly to another party under your instruction. We may ask you to prove your identity before being able to comply with said requests. Should we process your personal data based on permission you have provided for this, you are entitled to withdraw this permission at all times.
